Liber

Liber

The same beginnings embarked by all

With silent conversations found by few.

To touch eternity, my heart’s now yearning,

Thanks to you, my dear Johannes.

Those great souls that death has silenced

Live on through leaves, ever immortal.

I listen with my eyes those who have long passed,

As I live in communion with the deceased.

Generations past and present, long in the making

Whilst standing on shoulders of one long forgotten.

Never relearning that which has been mastered

Man has never known such harmony.

Great gateways widened to collective learning

Not always understood, yet always open.

There lives the knowledge of time long forgotten,

There resides the impending future known.
